ASTM #16C Softening Point Thermometer, 30 to 200C, NIST Calibration

The ASTM #16C Softening Point Thermometer, 30 to 200C has a strict manufacturing tolerance. Accuracy is assured by inspection and testing of samples from each production run. The thermometer is supplied with a statement of compliance to E 1 and E 77 requirements. The ASTM Thermometer is yellow-backed glass with permanent graduations, mercury-filled and individually packed in a cardboard tube.

Comes with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. The NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration is a five-point calibration certificate from an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory. This accreditation is your assurance that the calibration is performed in a qualified, controlled lab. The calibration on the glass thermometer is performed using direct comparison in a high-stability liquid bath with a Precision Reference Thermometer (PRT) and Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) and displays. The thermometer is also inspected for cracks and liquid-column separations before testing. Measurements are performed at 5 temperature points.

The ASTM #16C Softening Point Thermometer, 30 to 200C, NIST Calibration is a high-quality instrument that ensures accuracy and reliability in temperature measurements. It is designed and manufactured with strict adherence to ASTM standards, guaranteeing its performance and precision.

This ASTM thermometer features a yellow-backed glass with permanent graduations, allowing for easy and accurate readings. It is filled with mercury and individually packed in a protective cardboard tube for safe storage and transportation. The thermometer is also inspected for any cracks or liquid-column separations before being delivered, ensuring its integrity upon arrival.

One of the standout features of this thermometer is its NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. This certificate is issued by an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory, certifying that the thermometer has undergone a thorough calibration process using high-stability liquid baths, Precision Reference Thermometers (PRT), and Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometers (SPRT). The calibration is performed at multiple temperature points, ensuring accurate and reliable readings across the thermometer's range.

With a range of 30 to 200C and a division of 0.5C, this ASTM thermometer is suitable for a wide range of applications. Whether you need to measure temperatures in laboratories, industrial settings, or academic institutions, this thermometer is a reliable tool.

To ensure the longevity and proper storage of the thermometer, it is recommended to use a storage rack designed specifically for non-mercury thermometers. This vertical storage method helps prevent fluid column separation and ensures the thermometer's accuracy and performance over time.

For additional protection and thermal stabilization, a thermometer well is available for glass laboratory thermometers used in ovens or other exposed environments.
