ASTM #18C Saybolt Viscosity Thermometer, 34 to 42C, NIST Calibration

The ASTM #18C Saybolt Viscosity Thermometer, 34 to 42C has a strict manufacturing tolerance. Accuracy is assured by inspection and testing of samples from each production run. The thermometer is supplied with a statement of compliance to E 1 and E 77 requirements. The ASTM Thermometer is yellow-backed glass with permanent graduations, mercury-filled and individually packed in a cardboard tube.

Comes with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. The NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration is a five-point calibration certificate from an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory. This accreditation is your assurance that the calibration is performed in a qualified, controlled lab. The calibration on the glass thermometer is performed using direct comparison in a high-stability liquid bath with a Precision Reference Thermometer (PRT) and Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) and displays. The thermometer is also inspected for cracks and liquid-column separations before testing. Measurements are performed at 5 temperature points.

The ASTM #18C Saybolt Viscosity Thermometer, 34 to 42C, NIST Calibration is a highly accurate and reliable thermometer for measuring viscosity in a range of 34 to 42 degrees Celsius. This thermometer is manufactured with strict tolerances to ensure accuracy and is tested for compliance to E 1 and E 77 requirements. It comes with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration, providing assurance that the calibration is performed in a qualified and controlled laboratory.

The ASTM #18C Saybolt Viscosity Thermometer is made of yellow-backed glass with permanent graduations. It is filled with mercury and individually packed in a cardboard tube for protection during shipping and storage. The thermometer has a total immersion design, allowing for accurate temperature measurement across the entire range. With a division of 0.1 degrees Celsius, this thermometer provides precise readings for viscosity measurements.

The NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration included with the thermometer is a five-point calibration certificate from an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory. This ensures that the calibration is performed using a high-stability liquid bath and Precision Reference Thermometer (PRT) and Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) for accurate temperature comparisons.

To ensure the longevity and accuracy of the thermometer, it is important to store it vertically using a storage rack to prevent fluid column separation. Alternatively, a thermometer well can be used to provide additional protection and thermal stabilization when using the thermometer in ovens or other exposed environments.

This ASTM #18C Saybolt Viscosity Thermometer is part of a full line of ASTM Mercury Filled Thermometers and Non-Mercury Thermometers. These thermometers are designed for various applications and can be used in concrete curing, material testing, and other laboratory settings.
