ASTM #3F Lab Thermometer, 20 to 760F, NIST Certificate of Calibration

The ASTM #3F General Lab Thermometer, 20 to 760F has a strict manufacturing tolerance. Accuracy is assured by inspection and testing of samples from each production run. The thermometer is supplied with a statement of compliance to E 1 and E 77 requirements. The ASTM Thermometer is yellow-backed glass with permanent graduations, mercury-filled and individually packed in a cardboard tube.

Comes with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. The NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration is a five-point calibration certificate from an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory. This accreditation is your assurance that the calibration is performed in a qualified, controlled lab. The calibration on the glass thermometer is performed using direct comparison in a high-stability liquid bath with a Precision Reference Thermometer (PRT) and Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) and displays. The thermometer is also inspected for cracks and liquid-column separations before testing. Measurements are performed at 5 temperature points.

Thermometers Calibrated: Calibrate for Accurate Readings

The ASTM #3F Lab Thermometer, with a temperature range of 20 to 760F, is a reliable and accurate tool for laboratory use. This thermometer is manufactured with strict tolerance and undergoes thorough inspection and testing to ensure its accuracy. Each production run is sampled and tested to guarantee consistent performance.

To further ensure accuracy, the ASTM #3F Lab Thermometer comes with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. This certificate is obtained from an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory and provides a five-point calibration. This means that the thermometer is calibrated at five different temperature points using a Precision Reference Thermometer (PRT) and Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) for precise measurements. The calibration is performed in a qualified and controlled lab, giving you confidence in the accuracy of your readings.

The ASTM #3F Lab Thermometer is constructed with yellow-backed glass and features clear, permanent graduations for easy reading. It is filled with mercury and individually packed in a cardboard tube for protection during storage and transportation.

Measuring at a length of 16.3 inches (415mm) and with an immersion depth of 3 inches (76mm), this thermometer is suitable for various laboratory applications. Its temperature range from 20 to 760F allows for versatile use in different temperature environments.

To maintain the integrity of the thermometer and prevent fluid column separation, it is recommended to store the thermometer vertically using a storage rack. Additionally, for those requiring protection and thermal stabilization for the thermometer when used in ovens or other exposed environments, a Thermometer Well is available.
