ASTM S130C Non-Mercury Thermometer, -7.0 to 105C, NIST Calibration

These liquid-in-glass thermometers have physical and performance characteristics identical to ASTM thermometers for their referenced applications, but have not yet been reviewed and accepted by ASTM for these purposes. They use a safe blue indicating liquid that is biodegradable, nontoxic, and nonhazardous. Dark blue color is easily read against the white-backed stem.

Comes with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. The NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration is a five-point calibration certificate from an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory. This accreditation is your assurance that the calibration is performed in a qualified, controlled lab. The calibration on the glass thermometer is performed using direct comparison in a high-stability liquid bath with a Precision Reference Thermometer (PRT) and Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) and displays. The thermometer is also inspected for cracks and liquid-column separations before testing. Measurements are performed at 5 temperature points.

The ASTM S130C Non-Mercury Thermometer is a reliable and safe option for measuring temperatures in various applications. This thermometer is designed with the same physical and performance characteristics as ASTM thermometers but has not yet been reviewed and accepted by ASTM for these particular purposes.

One of the standout features of this thermometer is the use of a safe blue indicating liquid. This liquid is biodegradable, non-toxic, and non-hazardous, ensuring the safety of both the user and the environment. The dark blue color of the liquid makes it easy to read against the white-backed stem, providing clear and accurate temperature measurements.

To guarantee the accuracy of the thermometer, it comes with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. This certificate is obtained from an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory, assuring users that the calibration is performed in a qualified and controlled environment. The calibration process involves direct comparison with a Precision Reference Thermometer (PRT) and Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) in a high-stability liquid bath. The thermometer is also thoroughly inspected for any cracks or liquid-column separations before testing, ensuring its reliability.

With a temperature range of -7° to 105°C, this thermometer can handle various temperature measurements with ease. The immersion is total, meaning it can be fully submerged in the substance being measured. The thermometer boasts a division of 0.5°, providing precise temperature readings.

Measuring at a length of 12 inches (305mm), this thermometer is suitable for a wide range of applications. It is important to store the Non-Mercury Thermometer vertically using a storage rack to prevent fluid column separation.

For added protection and thermal stabilization, the Thermometer Well is available to securely hold the glass laboratory thermometer in ovens or other exposed environments.
