ASTM S130F Non-Mercury Thermometer, 20 to 220F, NIST Calibration
These liquid-in-glass thermometers have physical and performance characteristics identical to ASTM thermometers for their referenced applications, but have not yet been reviewed and accepted by ASTM for these purposes. They use a safe blue indicating liquid that is biodegradable, nontoxic, and nonhazardous. Dark blue color is easily read against the white-backed stem.
Comes with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. The NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration is a five-point calibration certificate from an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory. This accreditation is your assurance that the calibration is performed in a qualified, controlled lab. The calibration on the glass thermometer is performed using direct comparison in a high-stability liquid bath with a Precision Reference Thermometer (PRT) and Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) and displays. The thermometer is also inspected for cracks and liquid-column separations before testing. Measurements are performed at 5 temperature points.

Thermometers Calibrated: Calibrate for Accurate Readings
The ASTM S130F Non-Mercury Thermometer is a high-quality liquid-in-glass thermometer designed for a wide range of applications. With a temperature range of 20 to 220 degrees Fahrenheit, this thermometer is perfect for use in various industries such as laboratories, manufacturing, food processing, and more.
What sets this thermometer apart is its use of a safe blue indicating liquid. Unlike traditional mercury-filled thermometers, the blue liquid is biodegradable, nontoxic, and nonhazardous, making it a safer option for both the user and the environment. The dark blue color of the liquid is easily read against the white-backed stem, ensuring accurate and reliable temperature readings.
To guarantee its accuracy, the ASTM S130F Non-Mercury Thermometer comes with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. This certificate is your assurance that the thermometer has been calibrated in a qualified, controlled laboratory using a Precision Reference Thermometer (PRT) and Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) and displays. The calibration is performed at five temperature points to ensure precise measurements.
With an immersion depth of 2.3 inches and a length of 12 inches, this thermometer is suitable for a variety of applications. Its division of 1.0 degree provides clear and easy-to-read temperature increments, allowing for accurate monitoring.
To ensure the longevity of the Non-Mercury Thermometer, it is recommended to store it vertically, using a storage rack specifically designed for thermometers. This prevents fluid column separation and maintains the thermometer's performance over time.
For added protection and thermal stabilization, the Thermometer Well is available as an optional accessory. This well is designed to shield the thermometer from external factors such as ovens or other exposed environments, ensuring accurate and reliable temperature readings.
In conclusion, the ASTM S130F Non-Mercury Thermometer is a reliable and safe option for temperature monitoring. With its NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration, nonhazardous blue indicating liquid, and ease of use, this thermometer is a valuable tool in any professional setting. Monitor temperatures with confidence and accuracy with the ASTM S130F Non-Mercury Thermometer.
