ASTM S6F Non-Mercury Thermometer, -112 to 70F, NIST Calibration

These liquid-in-glass thermometers have physical and performance characteristics identical to ASTM thermometers for their referenced applications, but have not yet been reviewed and accepted by ASTM for these purposes. They use a safe blue indicating liquid that is biodegradable, nontoxic, and nonhazardous. Dark blue color is easily read against the white-backed stem.

Comes with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. The NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration is a five-point calibration certificate from an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory. This accreditation is your assurance that the calibration is performed in a qualified, controlled lab. The calibration on the glass thermometer is performed using direct comparison in a high-stability liquid bath with a Precision Reference Thermometer (PRT) and Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) and displays. The thermometer is also inspected for cracks and liquid-column separations before testing. Measurements are performed at 5 temperature points.

The ASTM S6F Non-Mercury Thermometer is a high-quality liquid-in-glass thermometer designed for a wide range of applications. With its physical and performance characteristics identical to ASTM thermometers, it offers reliable and accurate temperature readings.

This thermometer utilizes a safe blue indicating liquid that is biodegradable, nontoxic, and nonhazardous, ensuring the safety of the user and the environment. The dark blue color of the liquid is easily readable against the white-backed stem, allowing for quick and precise temperature measurements.

To guarantee the accuracy of the thermometer, it comes with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. This certificate is from an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory, providing assurance that the calibration was conducted in a qualified and controlled environment. The calibration process involves direct comparison with a Precision Reference Thermometer (PRT) and Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) in a high-stability liquid bath. The thermometer is also thoroughly inspected for any cracks or separations before testing. Measurements are performed at five temperature points to ensure accurate results.

With a temperature range of -112 to 70F, this thermometer is suitable for cloud and pour applications. Its immersion length of 3 inches (76mm) allows for precise temperature readings in various settings. The division of 2.0 degrees ensures accuracy and ease of reading.

Measuring 9 inches (232mm) in length, this non-mercury thermometer is compact and portable. To ensure the longevity and performance of the thermometer, it is recommended to store it vertically in a storage rack available separately.

For enhanced protection and thermal stabilization, the thermometer well is available as an additional accessory. It is particularly useful when using the thermometer in ovens or other exposed environments.
