The nondestructive Concrete Moisture Encounter measures moisture content using impedance measurements from electrodes located on the base of the meter. This model offers instant and accurate results. The Encounter is user calibrated at the start of each use. A pointer on the analog display moves to the calibration mark for accurate repeatable readings. After calibration, the meter is pressed firmly onto concrete, cement, or gypsum surface. The electrodes make contact, and the analog display shows readings of 0-6% moisture in concrete or 0-10% moisture in gypsum. The hand-held, ABS plastic meter has 9V battery power with low battery LED indicator. A one year warranty applies.
