The Load Ring and Gage Blocks are each NIST Traceable and used together to verify applied loads and height measurement of the Superpave and the Brovold Superpave Gyratory Compactors.
The 5,000lbf (22.2Kn) Load Ring with dial gauge and individually serial-numbered 3x1in (76x25mm) WxH, hard-steel Gage Blocks verify calibration of the compactors in accordance with the test method and calibration schedule. Load Rings and Gage Blocks are purchased separately. The Gage Blocks are sold individually and four are required for verifying.
