The Gilson SP-304 Precision Splitter with 1/8in Chutes quickly divide bulk samples of granular materials and fine powders, producing more accurate representative specimens than other sample splitters. These two riffle-type splitters have similar design and construction and feature a gate-controlled hopper, precision fixed-width chutes, and 100% heavy-gauge type 304 stainless steel construction. The gate-controlled hopper allows the sample to be loaded completely and distrib- uted evenly before opening the spring-loaded gate. Side panels control dust, reducing loss of fines during operation, and are easily removed for cleaning of chutes. Two stainless steel sample pans are included.
The Gilson SP-304 Precision Splitter has a hopper capacity of 61in³ (1L), and the thirty 1/8in (3.2mm) fixed chutes have a discharge angle of 45°. Only the two stainless steel sample pans included with the unit are required for proper operation.
