The Soil / Geotextile Permeameter is used to determine the permeability and clogging characteristics of geotextiles with soil by the ASTM D5101 gradient ratio method. The gradient ratio is the ratio of the hydraulic gradient through a soil / geotextile system to the hydraulic gradient through the soil alone.
The permeameter consists of three acrylic chambers and anodized end caps, as well as all required valves and stainless steel support screens. An included soil leveling tool maintains proper soil height in the chamber. The assembly is held together with three stainless steel clamping rods, and a sturdy base provides stability to the permeameter.
The Six Manometer Panel with included control panel is required to properly execute the test.
