How it Works:

The kit utilizes two specialized reagents that deliver clear color indications for both early and advanced stages of ASR. The process is straightforward:

  1. Surface Preparation: Begin with a clean, freshly-broken surface of the concrete sample.
  2. Reagent 1 Application: Apply the first reagent to the concrete surface. If initial stages of ASR degradation are present, a distinct bright yellow precipitate will appear.
  3. Rinsing: Rinse the surface thoroughly with distilled water.
  4. Reagent 2 Application: Apply the second reagent. If the degradation is more advanced, a bright pink stain will develop. Concrete unaffected by ASR will show no color change.
