The Hanna Instruments HI96800 Digital Refractometer is a reliable and accurate tool that measures Refractive Index and displays results both temperature compensated (nD20) and non-temperature compensated (nD) formats on a dual-level LCD screen. The temperature range of this device is 0.0 to 80.0°C (32.0 to 176.0°F), with a Temperature Resolution of 0.1°C (0.1°F) and Temperature Accuracy of ±0.3°C (±0.5°F). Automatically shutting off after three minutes of non-use, this refractometer has a battery life of approximately 5000 readings and is IP65 rated for protection against water and dust.

With dimensions of 192 x 102 x 67 mm (7.6 x 4.01 x 2.6”) and a weight of 420 g (14.8 oz.), the HI96800 has a Refractometer Light Source of a yellow LED and automatic temperature compensation between 10 and 40°C (50 to 104°F). The minimum sample volume needed is 100 μL (to cover the prism totally), and the sample cell is a stainless steel ring and flint glass prism.
