ASTM S110C Non-Mercury Thermometer, 133.6 to 136.4C, NIST Calibration

These liquid-in-glass thermometers have physical and performance characteristics identical to ASTM thermometers for their referenced applications, but have not yet been reviewed and accepted by ASTM for these purposes. They use a safe blue indicating liquid that is biodegradable, nontoxic, and nonhazardous. Dark blue color is easily read against the white-backed stem.

Comes with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. The NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration is a five-point calibration certificate from an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory. This accreditation is your assurance that the calibration is performed in a qualified, controlled lab. The calibration on the glass thermometer is performed using direct comparison in a high-stability liquid bath with a Precision Reference Thermometer (PRT) and Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) and displays. The thermometer is also inspected for cracks and liquid-column separations before testing. Measurements are performed at 5 temperature points.

The ASTM S110C Non-Mercury Thermometer offers a safe and reliable solution for temperature measurement in various applications. With physical and performance characteristics identical to ASTM thermometers, these non-mercury thermometers provide accurate and precise readings without the use of hazardous materials.

One of the key features of this thermometer is the use of a biodegradable, nontoxic, and nonhazardous blue indicating liquid. This dark blue color is easily read against the white-backed stem, ensuring clear and accurate temperature readings. The thermometer has a temperature range of 133.6 to 136.4 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

Included with the thermometer is a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. This certificate is a testament to the accuracy and reliability of the thermometer, as it is issued by an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory. The calibration process involves a direct comparison in a high-stability liquid bath using a Precision Reference Thermometer and a Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer.

The thermometer also undergoes thorough inspection before testing to ensure that there are no cracks or liquid-column separations that could affect its performance. In addition to the calibration, measurements are performed at five temperature points to guarantee precision.

To protect and stabilize the glass thermometer in ovens or other exposed environments, a Thermometer Well is available as an accessory. This well provides thermal stability and protection, ensuring accurate temperature readings even in demanding conditions.

To prevent fluid column separation, it is recommended to store the Non-Mercury Thermometer vertically using a storage rack, which is also available as an accessory.

For customers who prefer mercury-filled thermometers, the product description provides links to the full line of ASTM Mercury Filled Thermometers. These thermometers meet the same high-quality standards as the non-mercury counterparts and offer a reliable option for temperature measurement.

Overall, the ASTM S110C Non-Mercury Thermometer with its NIST calibration, safe indicating liquid, and accurate temperature readings makes it an excellent choice for various applications that require precise temperature measurement.
