ASTM S113C Non-Mercury Thermometer, -1 to 175C, NIST Calibration

These liquid-in-glass thermometers have physical and performance characteristics identical to ASTM thermometers for their referenced applications, but have not yet been reviewed and accepted by ASTM for these purposes. They use a safe blue indicating liquid that is biodegradable, nontoxic, and nonhazardous. Dark blue color is easily read against the white-backed stem.

Comes with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. The NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration is a five-point calibration certificate from an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory. This accreditation is your assurance that the calibration is performed in a qualified, controlled lab. The calibration on the glass thermometer is performed using direct comparison in a high-stability liquid bath with a Precision Reference Thermometer (PRT) and Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) and displays. The thermometer is also inspected for cracks and liquid-column separations before testing. Measurements are performed at 5 temperature points.

The ASTM S113C Non-Mercury Thermometer is a high-quality liquid-in-glass thermometer that offers accurate temperature measurement in a range of -1 to 175 degrees Celsius. This thermometer is specifically designed for use in bituminous softening point applications.

One of the standout features of this thermometer is its use of a safe blue indicating liquid. This liquid is biodegradable, nontoxic, and nonhazardous, ensuring the safety of both users and the environment. The dark blue color of the indicating liquid stands out clearly against the white-backed stem, making it easy to read and interpret temperature measurements.

To ensure accuracy and reliability, each ASTM S113C Non-Mercury Thermometer comes with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. This certificate is a five-point calibration certificate from an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory, providing assurance that the calibration is performed by qualified experts in a controlled lab environment. The calibration process involves direct comparison in a high-stability liquid bath using a Precision Reference Thermometer (PRT) and a Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) and display. Additionally, the thermometer undergoes thorough inspection for cracks and liquid-column separations before being tested. Measurements are performed at 5 temperature points to ensure accuracy across the entire range.

With a length of 16 inches (410mm), this thermometer provides plenty of reach for various applications. It is constructed with high-quality materials for durability and longevity. To ensure the longevity of the thermometer and prevent fluid column separation, it should always be stored vertically using a storage rack.

For added protection and thermal stabilization in environments such as ovens, the ASTM S113C Non-Mercury Thermometer can be paired with a thermometer well. This well provides a secure housing for the thermometer and helps maintain accurate temperature readings.

In addition to the ASTM S113C Non-Mercury Thermometer, we offer a full line of ASTM Mercury Filled Thermometers and ASTM Non-Mercury Thermometers. These thermometers are designed to meet various application requirements and specifications.

Whether you are working in a laboratory, industrial setting, or other applications that require precise temperature measurements, the ASTM S113C Non-Mercury Thermometer is an excellent choice. Trust in its accuracy, reliability, and safety features for your temperature measuring needs.
