ASTM S20C Non-Mercury Thermometer, 57 to 65C, NIST Calibration
These liquid-in-glass thermometers have physical and performance characteristics identical to ASTM thermometers for their referenced applications, but have not yet been reviewed and accepted by ASTM for these purposes. They use a safe blue indicating liquid that is biodegradable, nontoxic, and nonhazardous. Dark blue color is easily read against the white-backed stem.
Comes with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. The NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration is a five-point calibration certificate from an ISO/IEC accredited laboratory. This accreditation is your assurance that the calibration is performed in a qualified, controlled lab. The calibration on the glass thermometer is performed using direct comparison in a high-stability liquid bath with a Precision Reference Thermometer (PRT) and Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) and displays. The thermometer is also inspected for cracks and liquid-column separations before testing. Measurements are performed at 5 temperature points.

Thermometers Calibrated: Calibrate for Accurate Readings
The ASTM S20C Non-Mercury Thermometer is a high-quality liquid-in-glass thermometer that is designed to provide accurate temperature readings in the range of 57 to 65 degrees Celsius. This thermometer has the same physical and performance characteristics as ASTM thermometers for their referenced applications, making it a reliable tool for a variety of purposes.
What sets this thermometer apart is its use of a safe blue indicating liquid that is biodegradable, nontoxic, and nonhazardous. The dark blue color of the liquid stands out clearly against the white-backed stem, making it easy to read and interpret temperature measurements.
To ensure the utmost accuracy, each ASTM S20C Non-Mercury Thermometer comes with a NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration. This certificate is a guarantee that the calibration has been performed in a qualified, controlled laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC standards. The calibration process involves direct comparison in a high-stability liquid bath using a Precision Reference Thermometer (PRT) and Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SPRT) and displays. Additionally, the thermometer undergoes inspection for cracks and liquid-column separations before testing. Measurements are performed at five temperature points to ensure accuracy and reliability.
With a length of 11 inches (280mm), this thermometer is designed to provide convenience and ease of use. It can be stored vertically using a storage rack to prevent fluid column separation.
For additional protection and thermal stabilization in environments such as ovens, the thermometer can be used with a Thermometer Well. This accessory ensures that the glass thermometer remains safe and secure in potentially harsh conditions.
Whether you need a thermometer for laboratory work, material testing, concrete curing, or any other application, the ASTM S20C Non-Mercury Thermometer is a reliable and accurate choice. Trust its NIST Traceable Certificate of Calibration and its use of safe, biodegradable liquid to provide you with precise temperature readings every time.
